"Baby Turpentine" was by the incredible Crazyhead. I fucking LOVE that band. They have a couple of albums out (Desert Orchid is the best), but "Baby Turpentine" was only ever a single and never on the albums. If you like I can cobble together a Crazyhead compilation for you. Be patient though, I have a load of other shit to get together at the moment.

Stu's band before Rich rags was called Lady Jane and they released a single circa 83! Impossible to find but if you do come across it because it serves well as an indication for the Rich Rags sound to come.
It must be strange for people to get that there was a rich rags before the Hunter days and i think whats more that those songs need to be heard because they were so damn different to Psycho stuff! Very poison like with a dash of pussycat the later stuff was more focused and a little heavier.
I was really into bands like sweet savage (remember do ya do ya anyone?) and shark island! Scool bus was the most important record of my youth i fuckin loved that sleazy lil fucker and it was welded to my death deck all the time man!!

The stuff they did BEFORE the major release was fantastic and in Jon Antcliffe they had one of the best geetar players of that era!!

Well, when i say i played with them what i mean is we rehearsed and rehearsed and i uprooted from Hull i expected to be gigging and things happening within a month but shit those guys were seriously slow and we never got by the rehearsal stage before i got fucked off and came back to Hull then to London and H>Angels...
Another chapter to pass.....Jeez i must be boring the knickers of you peeps..sorry....its just fragments of memory that keep re-imposing themselves and i kinda enjoy reliving these moments and its cool to converse with peeps about the old times too.

Actually, I hadn't been paying any attention to this post, since I haven't heard Rich Rags....but I do have some Heartbreak Angels, and now that everyone here has brought up a ton of other bands that now I need to hear, I've been loving the discussion.
